Difficult Divine Messengers: The wolfpack, Part 3 – Shame & Guilt

In addition to the well known, unwanted Existential givens of sickness, old age and death – regarded in Buddhism as Divine Messengers insofar as  they serve as wake-up calls to deeper awareness of the precariousness of our being in time. There are also the sister existential messengers of Anxiety, Depression and Shame, which also can recall us from being dispersed in idle preoccupation into the living moment. This 3-part series focuses on living these difficult psychological messengers forward as allies rather than enemies. Sessions occur on March 11, April 1, & May 13, in-person and streamed. Ending with a Daylong on May 19, in-person only.

This evening, Part 2, will distinguish between (sometimes toxic) shame, in which we identify with our fallibilities, giving energy to self-blame if not self-hatred,  and healthy guilt that calls to better attune our life to its deeper felt purpose.
